RE: RE: Club Opening Days & Times
hello!
i'm really interested in joining rowing but i'm not a very confident swimmer! i think it would be a shame if i couldn't do it because of my swimming.
Would it be ok if i popped in for a couple of sessions to see what it's like?
Also how much would it cost and what days is it run?
could you please email me as soon as you can and let me know what you think i should do?
thankyou

RE: RE: EASTBOURNE HERALD PICTURE
Thanks for your reply. My first season in coastal rowing coincided with Brian Avery's last. I enjoyed my first ever row under his instruction. His son David was also at the club at that time and still supports us in times of need.

RE: RE: For Sale
Hello all, we are having a celebration street party for our heroic Indian Ocean Rowers on Sat 25th July. Anyone wanting accomodation in Bexhill please let me know so I can find Bexhill Rowers who can put you up for the night. This is between Hastings and Hove Regattas , we are hoping to have secure parking fot the club boats nearby. There will be live bands hot food and the use of club bar from 7.30 til 12.30. Hope to see you there.

RE: RE: South Coast Championships
Bob,
Very late notice but we are holding a bit of a fun regatta on Saturday at out club.
If any of you would like to attend let me know.

It starts at 3.00pm - high tide and will be a mixture of sprint races, combination of bow pair/Stern pair combinations and maybe some pit stop rigging. Any age from J12 to Vet are welcome.

We will provide all the boats.

There will be a Chinese take away at the club after as well for those who are interested.

RE: RE: Dover Regatta
Well done everyone.
I went past the Boathouse and saw the trailer had gone, but felt the regatta would be rough. That's coastal rowing!!
Let's hope we can row at our regatta, third time lucky.

RE: RE: ERC History
My dad, Robert Woodall who has just died aged 88 was a member of ERC between approx 1936 and the outbreak of WW2. He rowed sculls, pairs and was stroke in the coxed fours when they won the South of England Championship in 1939. We, his family have always been very proud of his achievements. Jane Clarke

RE: RE: Good Luck at BIRC
Well done to everyone from Eastbourne who attended. Next year I'm determined to take some people from Worthing as well.

Especially well done to the oldies, Bob and Colin who kept me company.

We'll be OK next year I'm sure !!!

RE: RE: Bob Noakes is confirmed as the next President of CARA.
Bob,

Congratulations - I know just how much hard work you have put in.

To bring Eastbourne back to the position you are in now is tremendous and deserves all the recognition you receive.

RE: RE: Bob Noakes is confirmed as the next President of CARA.
This is great news - Well done Bob. This is testament to your hard work with ERC. I know there have been several others in the wings helping but without your drive and enthusiasm, I'm not sure the club would even be here today let alone seriously vying for Championship wins.

This does mean you have to look smart at prize giving now.

When I heard the news,I felt it was true recognition for Bob's perseverance which resulted in the recognition of Eastbourne's revival.
Many congratulations, Bob.
